Lookout Mountain Golf Club opened in 1989 hosting the "Senior Classic" Senior PGA Tour Event.
The Winner of the Event was Bruce Crampton, posting a final round of 62.
In 1993 it held the LPGA Mitsubishi Tournament.
In 1994, 1995, and 1996 hosted the NBC televised PGA Event called the Skills Challenge.
